BIOGRAPHY

Def Leppard released their first album, On Through The Night, in 1980. In 1981, the band then teamed up with producer “Mutt” Lang to record their second album, High ‘n’ Dry. Later that year, MTV discovered the video for “Bringing On The Heartbreak” and put it into heavy rotation. Phil Collen joined the band in 1982 for the recording of Pyromania. The single, Photograph, sold a million copies. In 1984, disaster struck the band. On New Years Eve, Rick Allen lost control of his car and severed his left arm. Rick, determined not to stop playing, re-worked a Simmons electronic drum kit so he could play it one-handed. In 1987, Def Leppard released its biggest selling album ever, Hysteria. The album sold 16 million copies. Slang arrived in the spring of 1996. The two-disc Rock of Ages: The Definitive Collection arrived in 2005, followed in 2006 by Yeah!, a collection of covers. In 2008, the guys released their ninth studio album, Songs from the Sparkle Lounge, which debuted at Number Five and was supported by a lucrative summer tour. Material from that tour helped make up the bulk of Mirror Ball: Live & More, a three-disc live album containing a full concert, three new studio recordings and DVD footage. The band released another album, Def Leppard, in 2015. Def Leppard continues to rock every crevice of the universe.
