Michele Balan is one of New York ‘s top stand-up comedians and a finalist on NBC’s 2006 “Last Comic Standing.” She has recently appeared on Byron Allen’s Comics Unleashed and the OUTlaugh festival on MTVs LOGO. Michele was also voted one of the “Top 10 Comics” by Backstage Magazine in 2004. Michele recently opened for The Smothers Brothers and headlines all over the country in comedy clubs, cruises, corporate events, JCC’s country clubs and more! She is appropriate for all audiences…well, maybe not children’s parties! Often told she was naturally funny, the Brooklyn native left a high-paying executive position at a computer company to pursue comedy and has been performing ever since. She has recorded “Neurotic by Nature” at the LA Improv in 99 (it features Nell Carter), in 2004 she recorded “Live Just Barely” at the famed Joe’s Pub and “Is it hot in here? or is it me!” recorded at the Triad Theater.
